The four lower denominations (10 Shillings through to Ten Pounds) of Currency Commission notes were issued with ETO codes in the period 1940 to 1942. In 1943 the Currency Commission was wound up and The Central Bank of Ireland was created in its place. ETO codes appear on the five lower denominations of the Central Bank issue from 1943 to 1944. The Code was discontinued from 1945 onwards.
