New variation of Limerick soviet note

Post by Mac »

A previously unknown variation of a Limerick Soviet 5 Shilling note turned up at the Irish International Coin Fair 21, 22 Febuary 2015.

It is a stamped, un-numbered note, signed by the correct signatories, thus Type A. However, on the reverse is inscribed in the handwriting of James Casey "Cancelled J.C."
This could be an example of a note which served as a Specimen for recognition purposes.

Unfortunately, the note is in poor grade. Still, an important addition to the record of notes.
