Query about old Irish coin

Hi all!
I have an old coin I think is Irish, but I'm having trouble to identify it. Is it possible to post a decent photo here to find someone that would know something about it?

Thanks a million.

Sure, post a picture of the obverse and reverse and we'll take a look.

hi, thanks for your help.

I tried to look on web about it and the closest i got was this:

I think the coin is from the great Irish rebellion, the siege-money. But obviously I'm not sure, and the condition the coin is not the best.
These are the pictures and i appreciate any help.

Obverse:

Reverse:

PS: The reverse has nothing but the little mark in one of the corners.

Sorry If the pictures are not right, its the first time I use the BBcode.

Thanks a million.

I agree that it looks like a coin from The Great Rebellion period. The shape is similar to a farthing from one of The Southern 'Cities of Refuge' but the design seems different to the examples usually seen from Bandon Bridge, Cork, Kinsale or Youghal. It might be worth checking with the National Museum of Ireland. They may have an example in better condition with more design details.

A similar item, 1600s copper Youghal Token (similar in that is is also square) was sold for 150 Euro on eBay in April 2017.

Thanks to Limerick Nomad for this.
