Here is a £3 note from this partnership dated 1st June 1808. This is the earliest date I have seen on a £3 note from any Irish Bank. If anyone has an earlier example it would be interesting to hear about it.

Waterford Bank, Abram Atkins & Co. also issued post bills. Here is an example of a scarce 3 Guineas post bill issued in 1808.

Here is a Waterford Bank 5 Guineas post bill. It looks like an incomplete proof as the partner’s names are omitted. The style is similar to other post bills issued by Atkins & Co. so it is a reasonable assumption that it is related to this bank. However, the 1818 date appears to be spurious as Atkins & Co. failed in 1809.
It is interesting to note that the promissory statement is different compared to other post bills from this bank, being payable 7 days after sight rather than the customary 21 days.

Looking at the notes for Atkins, Scottowe & Roberts, i have come up with th efollowing:
Four Series of notes by design.
Series 1: May 1808. 1.5G
Series 2: May 1808. 3G, 5G
Series 3: June 1808-1809. Round logo top left. 5G, £1, 30s, £3
Series 4: May 1808-1809. 1G, 2G
Two types by partnership
Type A. 1804-1808. Abram Atkins, Nicholas Britiffe Skottowe
Type B. 1808-1809. Abram Atkins, Nicholas Britiffe Skottowe, Richard Roberts
The bank failed with Atkins going bankrupt in late 1809 or early 1810. A report in the Freeman’s Journal on 19 February 1810 mentions that a meeting of creditors had taken place on 11 February 1810 (as cited by Kenny and Turner, 2019).
All of the notes we have seen are dated 1808 or 1809.

Yes, I think those design groupings make sense. Series 2 bears some resemblance to Series 1 but is a variant for post bills. There is also a £5 post bill recorded which can be assigned to Series 2.
PMI reports an earlier 1 Guinea & Half note dated 1806 with the following partners: John Atkins, Abram Atkins, Nichlas Britiffe Skottowe. So it would appear that this first partnership, operated between 1804 and 1806.

We then have the following known partnerships:
Three types by partnership
Type A. 1804-1806. John Atkins, Abram Atkins, Nichlas Britiffe Skottowe.
Type B. 1808. Abram Atkins, Nicholas Britiffe Skottowe
Type C. 1808-1809. Abram Atkins, Nicholas Britiffe Skottowe, Richard Roberts

I have not seen any notes of Type B with just the two partners. Any scans out there that you could share? Not (as yet) listed in PMI 2nd edition.
