Poorly graded notes: Case study

Post by Mac »

What’s the difference within a grading? A lot, it would seem.

Here we have four Ploughman tenners, all graded in the VF region, by the same company in and around the same time.

Are the two '20' notes the same grade, and are the two '25' notes the same grade? Why not use numerals between 20 and 25 for more accuracy?

I would grade this one as VG

The Munster & Leinster graded at vf20 is significantly better than the Hibernian graded at vf20.
Both are lower grade than VF.
