Unrecorded Ploughman notes have been a bit thin on the ground lately, though the market is awash with notes on offer!

The amount of Ploughman notes turning up seems to have dropped off a lot compared to previous years. Even not much new in auctions. Could the bottom of the barrel be in sight?

Just added a ten pound note, seen on ebay! Makes it a bit more respectible total for the month.

Generally the relative rarity has remained the same across the banks, except for the Hibernian Bank, all denominations have been seen to be less rare than previously estimated.

This is especially the case for the £5 note, which has gone from being a quite scarce note (much scarcer than Provincial) to being much more common than the Provincial. This is largely due to the hoard of Hibernian fivers which turned up in the Heritage auction a while back. Hibernian £10 notes have also become more common relative to those of other banks.

It makes it easier for collectors to find Hibernian notes in decent grade!

These are from the upcoming DNW auction of World Banknotes in early October.

There is a good offering of Ploughman notes in the sale, most have been recorded already in PSS. The sale includes a Northern Knox signature £1 note in About VF grade, one of the very rarest of the series.
The sale also includes the Provincial Bank of Ireland £10 note number 01PT 000001, recorded recently.

It has been over a month since anything has been added to PSS, no lack of Ploughman notes turning up, just nothing new being offered that has come to my attention. Anyway, DNW generally don't disappoint!
