Number of Ploughman notes outstanding

Consolidated Bank Notes (CBN) Number of notes outstanding
The last breakdown by denomination, provided by the Central Bank of Ireland in 1984, and published in Irish Numismatics Magazine was as follows:
£1 — 57497 notes
£5 — 6559 notes
£10 — 1506 notes

Total value: £105,352.

As of 30.08.15 over 7.5% of the total amount outstanding has been recorded in the PSS census of surviving Ploughman notes.

Estimate of the number of surviving Ploughman banknotes

This estimate of the numbers of surviving Ploughman notes for each bank is based on the actual number of Ploughman notes recorded in PSS up to the end November 2014, including missing data.
This estimate proposes survival rates of 20% for £1 notes, 30% for £5 notes, 40% for £10 notes. First published in Coin News, September 2015.

These figures are based on a breakdown by bank of the numbers of Ploughman notes recorded of each denomination in the Ploughman Scan survey as at 30.11.2014.

As of 20.02.16 over 8.4% of the total amount outstanding of Ploughman notes has been recorded in the PSS census, including missing data.

More details are in the PSS sub-forum.

Thus, in the last six months 0.9% of the outstanding amount has been added to the census.
