Hi,
I have a 1918 five pound note that I was wondering what the value of might be. It's dated December 11, 1918, T28 signed by WH Baskins. I tried looking for the valuation online but am unable to find any note like it.

I'm sorry that the picture isn't the best. The note is wrinkled and has a very small hole on the top. Other than that, it's in very good condition especially considering it's almost one hundred years old! I appreciate any info you can provide.
Thanks in advance:)

Laura

Hi Laura. A minimum rough guess would be around 500-800 Euro. Whilst Bank of Ireland notes from this era are quite common, the £5 denomination tends to be a bit scarcer. You can email me a better pic, and I would be able to give you a better idea of value.

100-200 Euro, I'd say. I can be more accurtate if you email me a better picture to the Admin email address.

OK, thank you. I wanted to buy it, but I now see it's way overpriced. What is this one worth? I paid 33 euros for it. Sound fair to you?

33 sounds ok. Its face value is 25.40 euro.

Earlier on in the valuation thread, you said you could give ballpark valuations of British notes. What is this one worth?

Don't know. Face value plus whatever you can get, I guess.
