Series C SPECIMEN Notes
I am interested in Irish SPECIMEN notes, and find them _so_ hard to come by (for obvious reasons).
Have any of you seen them (Series C only)?
Thanks.

Re: Series C SPECIMEN Notes
Examples of C Series specimens are not often seen. Here is a nice example of a £100 Parnell Specimen.

That very note is actually in my collection.
I'm looking to get the 5, 10, 20.
I will find them, some day.

Re: Series C SPECIMEN Notes
The Currency Commission and Central Bank rarely gave out Specimen notes.
The only Specimens of C Series notes on the market would be those which were presented to individuals, the designers for example.
Most specimens were on indefinite loan, or ‘safekeeping’ to (generally) banks.
C Series Specimens were printed in the hundreds.

That £100 Specimen is a nice one to own. Interesting to hear the background to the availability of these notes. It appears that not many would be available to collectors.

Thanks guys.
Mac, I'd love to know how you find this information out, the Central Bank had literally no desire to talk to me about it...
Above is the corresponding £50 note, which also resides in my collection.

Here is an example of a £20 Specimen from this Series with a different signature combination.

DOC, do you happen to know who has this note, or where you sourced this image from?

Re: Series C SPECIMEN Notes
Sorry, I can't be of much help to you on this one. The image was obtained from the net several years ago. As far as I can recall, the note was not for sale but posted for information purposes.

Re: Series C SPECIMEN Notes
Nice examples, Series C specimen notes are very difficult to obtain. Here are some old scans of the £10 note.
