One of the most attractive Ploughman De La Rue specimens I've seen is the blue Pound note.
This is the second one that has turned up in the past few years, and the better of the two.
Blue Ploughman One Pound note.

I guess there would be as many of these as there are of the other de la Rue specimens?
They just haven't come out yet.

Possibly. The two that I have seen are both without TDLR oval overstamps, maybe that is significant. It will be interesting to see if any with overstamps appear in due course.ThePloughman wrote:I guess there would be as many of these as there are of the other de la Rue specimens?

There is an example of this note coming up in the DNW auction on 12 March, a few days' time.

This attractive blue £1 Ploughman Specimen is up for sale this week (March 14th) at Noonans with an estimate of £1200-£1800. This appears to be the third example to appear in recent times.
