50 years ago, Monday 15 February 1971 was Decimal Day, the introduction of new decimal coins in Ireland.
Irish coinage presents good quality images of the Irish decimal coins.
The Central Bank of Ireland produced a set of attractive Polished Specimens of the new coins in a green folder.
There are at least two production runs of the folder, the original 1971 version, and a newer version likely produced during the 1990s.
