The partnership of William Morris and John Malone provided banking services in Dublin in the early 1800’s and post bills issued by them survive today. Although they are listed as bankers in Watson’s Almanac of 1814, it is not clear if they formally registered as such. Both Morris and Malone are known to have been involved in money brokering and currency exchange as far back as 1803. Their partnership was dissolved in April 1814 and Malone was declared bankrupt soon after in July 1814. PMI mentions that Morris may have continued issuing post bills up to 1818.

An example of a £3 Post Bill issued in 1813 is attached. It is interesting to see that the address on the post bill is 110 Grafton Street.

Here is a £5 post bill issued by William Morris & Co. The year is difficult to read but it looks like 1813.
