A silver note for 6 British Shillings (6s 6d Irish) is known from the early days of the mining operation. The note appears to be undated but the year is most likely 1804.

Captain William White took over the operations of the mine in 1811 under a new lease granted by Lord Kenmare. A second note issue is known associated with William White.

Here are examples of issued and unissued notes for 3 Guineas. The notes are payable in Cork. The issued note provides the location of the Cork office as the house of Thomas Long Esq. The name William White appears in scrolling text at the left side of the note.
