National Bank of Scotland enamel cufflinks.
These were made in France ca1880.
A pair of these appeared recently, offered as cufflinks. They have a fastener similar to that on other enamel banknotes, notably the pair of enamel US banknotes which were also seen recently.
As more enamel banknotes are recorded, we learn more about them.
They appear to have been used as brooches/badges, cuff links and pendants, though the examples seen as pendants may have been later modifications of brooches.
