, London auction has a very nice offering of Irish notes, covering all eras of Irish paper money.
The sale has 111 Lots of Irish notes, starting with 12 from the Private Banks.
Some of the highlights.
There is a good range of notes from the Joint Stock banks, with some very rarely seen items,
Lot 264, Bank of Ireland, £1, 4 January 1842 - A nice grade example. Est £7000
Lot 265, Bank of Ireland, £1, 15 December 1869 - The only known example of a Bank of Ireland note with three lines of branches. this note was last sold by Spink in London, 2002. Est, £5000
Lot 318, Ulster Bank, £5, 1 November 1906 - a rare example of an earlier type in nice grade. Est £3000.
There is a small selection of nice Ploughman notes which includes Lot 338, a decent example of a1931 Northern Bank £1, Est £1500, and Lot 339, an error with missing serial numbers, Est, £2400, which is the only example of a Ploughman error note yet recorded.
The Legal Tender Notes section starts with a nice original pair of 1928 notes:

Lot 341, £100, 1928. AU, Est, £12000.
Lot 343 is notable, the only known example of a 1933 Lavery £5 note, Est £3000.
Lot 357 Central Bank of Ireland, C Series replacement £100, 1996, KKK 010003, Est £600
Lot 359 A sequential pair of replacement £50 notes, 1996, EEE 413354, EEE 413355, Est £400
Nice to see these £50 EEE notes turning up, it is a while since there have been any on offer.
