Lavery 1000000 note replacements in 1970s

Here is an interesting trio of Irish £1 notes which were saved as a group together.
The three notes turned up in auction in 2016.
Number 71L 999999 and 00A 432759 would have been in one block, with number 72L 000001 being in the following block of notes.
00A 432759 replaced 71L 1000000 in the block, which would have had to have its serial number hand set, as on older Irish banknote issues.
The existence of this pair of notes demonstrates that the Central Bank of Ireland was using replacement notes in place of hand-numbered 1000000 notes in the printing of its 1976-dated £1 notes.
It may be that all of the notes printed after the introduction of a marked ‘star’ replacement note system had a replacement note added in place of the 1000000 Terminator note.
72L 000001 has subsequently been seen on offer for sale separately.
Hopefully, the other pair of notes will have been be kept together.
