Series B 50 pound note: Scarce in UNC?
On eBay, a lot of the £50 Series B notes are advertised as "AU-UNC". Why is it, that when there is a true UNC note, it can fetch as much as 3 times the borderline ones?

Genuine UNC B Series £50 notes are relatively scarce.
1991 is scarcer than 1982.
£50 was quite a high denomination in those days, the notes were seldom seen. not many people could afford tokeep one.
Most of the available examples have been through the banking system, bringing them into the AU region.

Re: Series B 50 pound note: Scarce in UNC?
50 Pounds in 1991 bought the equivalent of 150 Euro today, and when issued in 1982/83 easily around 250/300 Euro. So they were scarce, and rarely seen. The same can be said of the 1996 Parnell 100 Pound note, which easily bought the equivalent of 200 Euro in todays cash.
