I was more curious about a series B £20 note that just recently sold for about $1100 on eBay - I get that the grade was high at 67, but beyond that did not see anything unique about serial or date ? Any insights - seems like $200-300 would have been a more reasonable price

No Series B 20 is worth that kind of money. $200 max for a 67, they are not rare. Even a replacement low number is worth like only $700 in UNC.

I also saw this and thought it was crazy price with the 180 pen mark on the top, i only just found in an old house clear out. If he does sell he can sell mine and keep half
