The Northern Pound note (1931) is a decent VF, always nice to see a better grade example of this note.

These are all in the Whytes Collector sale on 15 May. Other Ploughman notes in the sale have previously been recorded, including a few recorded back in the 1990s for which PSS had no pictures.

17.05.21: UA x 1 = £1 face value. VG, a low grade but intact 1939 Lester £1 note, spotted on ebay.

20.05.21: PA x 1; NA x 1 = £2 face value. Both pressed unfortunately.

After a dull ending to 2021, during which a lot of Ploughman notes were offered, but few notes new to the census among them, 2022 kicks off with the above notes appearing in Stacks Bowers. There are other Ploughman notes in the sale, including two Hibernian £10 notes, which were previously recorded back in 2009-2011.

There are three auctions with significant offerings of Irish notes in them this month. Noonan's (formerly DNW), Whyte's, and Mullens. All of them have some Ploughman notes on offer, amounting to a total of £40 fave value.
Noonan's continue to work their way through Gus Mac Amhlaigh's collection. Almost all of the Ploughmans in this collection have been previously recorded.
There are some newly recorded notes in Whyte's. The sale includes an Ulster £10 note which was recorded back in the 1990s.
Several of the notes in Mullen's are also new to the PSS census.
