Ulster Bank withdraws from Republic of Ireland

Ulster Bank closed its remaining 63 branches in the Republic of Ireland today.
The bank now only operates in Northern Ireland.

That is another significant milestone for banking in Ireland.

This Lavery £20 appeared recently on ebay with an interesting Ulster Bank LTD. stamp. The number 98-52-70 is the sort code of the Balyhaunis branch.
