I have just noticed that the Limerick City website was deleted sometime since December 2023, and replaced by a shiny new site.
In doing so they removed several articles of useful background information on the Limerick Soviet which have been available for around the past 15 years. It is a pity that some of these website 'upgrades' result in a new user experience which offers fewer resources. I cannot find the data anywhere on the new site.
I did of course save all of the information years ago, but it still leaves three links dead on the main Limerick Soviet website page. We'll have to find new sources for the three articles listed below.
2. Cahill, L. (2019) 'Forgotten Revolution: The Limerick Soviet of April 1919'. Notes for an illustrated talk at the Granary Library, Limerick, 10th April 2019.

4. KEMMY, J. (2019). A report on the Limerick Soviet, The General Strike – 1919, by Jim Kemmy, is reproduced on the Limerick city website:

5. Limerick Soviet also called 'The General Strike, 1919' Limerick City Library Archive

This is a nuisance.
Museum websites have been known to do it also.
I had a look at the web archive waybackmachine to see if they were archived.
I found number 4.

Re: Limerick city website deleted resources on soviet notes!
Thanks for that one. I will add it back to the Limerick soviet page.
I will relegate these to Further Reading at the bottom of the page.
