Having checked some references including Paper Money of Ireland 2nd Edition and the statement of Francis O’Duffy (Bureau of Military History), the hand drawn 3d posted earlier aligns with Issue 2, an unofficial issue managed by the prisoners themselves. PMI mentions 6d and 1s tokens from this issue so the 3d is a newly recorded denomination.

3d tokens from the first Official issue are attached for comparison. Two types are known, a pink token with just Ballykinlar Internment Camp mentioned and a white token with the additional text ‘Good for 3d’.

Here is a Ballykinlar token for 6d with the inscription ‘Good for 6d’ and prisoner number. Many of the old photos of these tokens are in black and white but this one confirms the colour to be green.
