Here's a note I came across recently in an auction catalog.
A £50 1928 specimen note autographed by John Lavery and Hazel Lavery.
A nice piece I wouldn't mind having in my own collection!

£2,200 plus fees, I think - someone got a bargain

Here is an extraordinary note up for auction this month at DNW, London: a rare first date of issue Lavery £50 note, autographed by Éamon de Valera, the prominent 20th century Irish political figure and statesman. A high hammer price is anticipated.

I'm not sure that any signature would add to the value of a nice grade 1928 £50. Joseph Brennan or James Mc Elligott perhaps.
